unexpected

Things don't turn out the way we expect them to. Am so happy that it is true in many ways, not in all...

MOVIE DAY- I was frustrated about it in my earlier post. Guess what? THINGS DIDN'T TURN OUT THE WAY I EXPECTED THEM to be. One of them came early and we just sat in the living room, talking and reminiscing while waiting for my other friend. She did turn up eventually but I thought that it was a bit too LATE to start a MOVIE coz there wasn't enough time. We agreed and just sat down chit-chatting away...it was something I needed. To talk to familiar faces about familiar things....Have been lots of CHANGES lately that I didn't realise it was what I NEEDED!
QUALITY time spent together..won't FORGET it.

FAMILY- Haven't seen many of my cousins lately. Got the opportunity when we attended 3 weddings in 2 weeks! The first one, a MALAY wedding...it was AWESOME...something DIFFERENT..now I know why they call the bride n groom 'raja sehari' in Malay. They were TREATED like ROYALTY!
Then, another 2 weddings yesterday, at the same time. So, we attended one couple's wedding and another's DINNER RECEPTION. Loved it! After that, we cousins were taken out for a TREAT by our uncle. ENJOYED myself...exchanging stories and what not hehe

GROWING UP- This may be the TOUGHEST part. Realised how much all of us are growing and moving on in life when I met up with my cousins during those weddings. My lil cousin bros n my own bro aren't so LITTLE anymore. In fact, sis n I looked like the thangachis there. Our YOUNG uncles and aunts who I used to look up to whenever we needed some FUN, are also MOVING ON- getting married, having children...suddenly just HIT ME SMACK in the face. We are all moving in that DIRECTION, and it is pretty SCARY if u ask me. We're not so little anymore. How TIME FLIES!!!

So, GROWING UP- got to EMBRACE it and not fear it. CHERISH every MOMENT of the present. It is truly a GIFT. FAMILY, FRIENDS, they will be where u want them to be- in our HEARTS. Just got to know where to LOOK :)

I definitely needed a BREAK about a week ago but now it doesn't seem right to take it when you DON'T need it....

From the top, remember the earlier entry about lepaking at home to watch a movie? Am not so EXCITED about it anymore. One of them can't make it, the other hasn't confirmed, and now we have to cut it short coz something came up.

CHALLENGES...we couldn't have it in the evening coz it was clashing with my DANCE classes and the tonnes of WEDDING receptions piled up for the month. Plus, I did have a lot of breaks throughout this week. CLASSES were cancelled, postponed, etc. At first, it was EXCITING to have classes CANCELLED. Well, it isn't anymore. You get to do EVERYTHING that you want to and that was the break I needed. Now that that phase is OVER, I feel like hitting the BOOKS and am not in the mood for a MOVIE.

Still, don't want to DISAPPOINT the other 2 who have agreed to come after a week of ANTICIPATION. Not sure when I'll have another OPPORTUNITY to meet up with them again...yup, they'll be LEAVING, too. *sigh*

FRIENDS..they're all leaving. Suddenly, everyone's BLOGS, FB STATS, etc. hv been filled with GOODBYE WISHES! - Leaving town, or the country...it's still a MAJOR shift in our lives. The memories keep FLOODING IN...SCHOOL seems like the BEST place to be....with a few EXCEPTIONS hehehe

With all the WEDDING receptions coming up, amma decided to get me a NEW suit. It was a SIMPLE one, just the way I like it. Then, when I put it on, realised that there was a RUST stain on the BACK of it! Now, amma has to go and get it CHANGED...oh, the FRUSTRATION!

Even MERLIN seems a lot less EVENTFUL. Ahhhhh!!! It's just a PHASE. It'll pass. Maybe I do need that MOVIE DAY with my BUDDIES tomorrow =)

Welcome to the latest episode of 'This Week In My Life' starring me, myself and I.

FACEBOOK- not so addicted to it anymore....yes!!! I can actually leave the computer whenever I want to and not glance at it at different angles everytime I PASS BY!!! I'M FREE...almost :p

Still, am CONVINCING more and more of my friends to join in...just so I know that they're in reach...a click away...that I'm still keeping in touch with them...

I've observed people who say that they regret not getting that phone number or email...or stopping by for 5 minutes...or some even, attending so n so's FUNERAL...which can be disheartening...wouldn't want to be in that MISERABLE state...

I read a quote ending like this: "The things we regret the most is the WORDS UNSAID and THINGS NOT DONE.." or something like that...still u get the message...it's TRUE...

Nowadays, I feel like I shouldn't miss an opportunity...by saying IT'LL COME AGAIN...or NEXT TIME I'LL DO IT...got to act there and then..no point feeling SHY or SCARED...it's BETTER that, than feeling that SOUL-EATING REGRET...

FRIENDS- It's a CRUCIAL POINT right now for many of them. Choosing a career path ain't that EASY...Some are facing DISAPPOINTMENTS as rejection letters pile in while others are spinning in CONFUSION as the offer letters fill their rooms...haha what a contradictory scenario...

Making important DECISIONS is challenging. Not to mention the EXPECTATIONS many of them have to put up with. After that, it's all about ADAPTING to a new ENVIRONMENT. Some have left the COUNTRY, most of them- their COMFORT ZONE.

I'm surprised at how these girls (and boys) manage it. REMARKABLE! It's one thing to do whatever it takes when u r in the situation but, truly an AMAZING feat. AMBITIOUS young people. Past couple of months, I've got to know MANY young people and they were KIND enough to SHARE their ASPIRATIONS with me. I'm definitely more than IMPRESSED by some. PERSEVERANCE...a HANDFUL are really going ALL OUT to achieve their goals no matter what the OBSTACLES!

RELAX- My lecturer defined it as 'A CHANGE IN ACTIVITY.' Not necessarily less STRESSFUL but surely REJUVENATING. Repeating the MUNDANE routine of going to COLLEGE, completing HOMEWORK, STUDYing, FACEBOOKing, EMAILing,...ok maybe not so mundane but after a while, even the most enjoyable stuff can BORE u... it can DRIVE u mad.

So, I planned to have a GIRLS NITE OUT (or day haha). At first, I was casually msging my fren when I thought that maybe we should all meet one more time before everyone leaves. Idea popped up at abt 11pm. Unfortunately, she said that she couldn't make it. Quickly I came up with another idea. Why don't we have it in her place? Instead of parading around the SAME MALL. She AGREED n we started making PLANS. Others are not sure yet but am personally EXCITED about it!

Not to mention that play REHEARSALS were cancelled today coz S had come down with the flu, classes for this Tuesday has been POSTPONED, MORAL for next week has been cancelled coz the INTERNAL programme students are in for a TEST, SEASON FINALE OF MERLIN is coming up this FRIDAY, AND I DON'T HAVE THE pre-MONDAY BLUES!!!!

extra holidays... great or not?

haha it's so funny that when i come across a public holiday, i get so excited to study.... yes, STUDY!!! I tell myself, wow, now i've got the extra time, time to catch up and update myself...

instead, i end up updating myself more on EMAILS and currently FACEBOOK!!! have i mentioned that it is an ADDICTION????

yesterday, LABOUR'S DAY!!! told myself the day before, i'm gonna use the opportunity WISELY!!! yeah, so much for that. i spent the day watching tv, going online, didn't even practise my SCRIPT for the PLAY!!! S called, said that she wants to bring everyone together tomorrow coz' many ponteng practices... and she wants to see hw we're working in our groups... she's ADDING THE HOURS!!!!

not to mention, i just started BHARATHANAATIYEM classes today!!! i'll be having classes saturdays and sundays. so, i'll hv to deal with DRAMA practices in the mornings and DANCE classes in the evenings on Sundays... no more FREE time on sundays!!! a CHALLENGE it is...

then again, what can u say when u just don't have the mood to bury urself into BOOKS? it's ok, that's what some may say... take a break... but what if that BREAK was prolonged? quite a lot like what's happening NOW!!! ahhhhh....

gotta WAKE UP EARLY tomorrow, practise the SCRIPT, run through the BOOKS, and do what's necessary... I WILL DO IT. I KNOW I CAN!!!! I HAVE TO or else.....
