Well, class ended early and amma is a little late in fetching me today so I decided y not? hehe :P
Was blog-hopping and came across this one which was quite interesting. Being the book-worm I am (or used to be!), I've always fantasized about publishing my own best-seller some day. That explains why this blog intrigued me. It's mainly about how to write a good book, what to avoid when writing, etc.
Other than that, I've got a test tomorrow. Yup, Pengajian Malaysia may not be my favourite subject but I have to pass. Ahhh!!!! Not to mention I skipped my first two classes today morning (I've never done this before btw :P). Being the goody-good girl I am, I asked my lecturer for the work and now I've gotta complete that as well! By tomorrow!!
What else? I thought of revising my Accounting subject as my lecturer is going to discuss past year papers with us tomorrow. Guess that's moved down my priority list. Plus my Maths homework which I'm doubting about completing today *sigh*
I've also got to go through some stuff regarding the school reunion that I'm planning. Less than expected have confirmed but at least something right? Alright then, gonna make myself busy with something else...

Lunch hour
Here I am again promising myself another few minutes before it's back to work hehe :p
Today was pretty cool. Still laughing about lunch. See, there are 3 restaurants and a supermarket near my college. The first one is a Mamak shop (we were loyal customers) - we got tired of the food there and occasionally tried out another restaurant nearby. The food there was so-so. Then, a new Malay restaurant opened and we became instant loyal customers there hehe :) Food was more than reasonable and it was good.
Today, we walked up there and noticed that there were only leftovers. Squid and prawns aren't on the top of my list so had to ignore those two dishes. Plus, we mutually agreed on our taste for non-crowded areas. We walked out and slowly (painfully!) headed towards the other two restaurants. One of my friends initially had food poisoning after eating in one of the restaurants and had vowed never to return but today, he made an exception. So, I was unvoluntarily pushed towards that restaurant while my other two friends headed for the other one. We couldn't make up our minds!
Walking to the one I was 'pushed' into, we noticed that our all-time favourite dishes were gone! Gone, I tell you...poof! I looked outside. My other two friends were hesitantly walking into the other restaurant. In between us, a group of SPM students were lepaking after exams. Haven't I long passed that stage...argghhh!! The 4 of us were trying to decide where to go haha :D and our stomachs were pestering us to make up our minds!
The Mamak restaurant guy was persuading us to come in amidst our little discussion, pointing out the whole menu by heart, and asking us if we wanted anything in particular. They were determined to get us back! Finally, we made up our minds and walked to Giant instead. My friend and I tried something new - Nasi Ikan Kembung Bakar - quite tasty. My other friend, tired of the burnt waffles she kept getting, got them to add in more chocolate filling (yum!) and she didn't have to pay extra!
It's surprising how I almost always don't walk out of a place once I've entered and today, I walked out of 3! lol :) The sambal was really good by the way :9 Right then, work is pending. Shouldn't be procrastinating like this...

A Sunday wonder!
Ok, so I've made a deal with myself. Only 15 minutes to come online to blog about today. Nothing else. After that, it's back to work. I've planned my work and gonna work my plan. Yup!
Today was just awesome. Went to Teluk Intan for a short visiting trip. Sort of a small road trip as well. Turned in late last night cos we siblings just couldn't stop talking hehe. A good 'siblings bonding time' that was, until appa came and switched off the lights. Am pretty sure it was past 2am. Had to wake up early.
Left at 9.30am...delays. Took the old road instead of the highway. Still regretting that we forgot the camera :( Beautiful sceneries...paddy fields stretched out as far as the eyes could see, oil palm plantations, friendly people just mingling with each other worrilessly (am not sure if that is even a word :p)..it was just beautiful. Not to mention, it was surprising to see a small town that crowded. Probably cos the school holidays just begun.
We headed for our relative's house. They had no idea we were coming. That's how we like it. So that no one waits for us...expectations...arriving on time...Very impromptu. Oh, the joy on their faces when they saw us...priceless! Especially when they saw appa, since appa had stayed with them for a bit when appa was much younger. They insisted we have lunch. I guess our convincing skills aren't as good as theirs (we had already taken lunch before coming in!).
They were living in the estates previously but had moved out after uncle retired. Appa suggested that we go back to the old place and we did. It was an awesome trip. We drove into the oil palm estate, accompanied by a steady narration of history of the place and the people who used to be there. Apparently, anything left behind by the people who worked there was not removed as it had historical value such as the word 'Registered Office' instead of 'Registration Office'. Pretty cool! Ah, if only I had the camera *sigh*
Then, we stopped at the middle of the estate...it was all quiet, calm, breathtaking. As uncle said, you would never find a life like that anywhere else. After being shown around, we stopped by a bakery where we could see how bread was being made. Saw the huge ovens they use to make so many different types of bread. It was amazing!
We returned shortly after cos we had to rush back for my cousin's engagement. Tiring journey indeed! Plans changed of course. Amma just told me that grandma had made idli for dinner :9 So, amma and appa would be leaving for Sg. Siput in a while. We'll be going to grandma's house as I've still got some unfinished work for college tomorrow.
Got to get ready now. bYe!!
